Robert Freedman, MD serves as Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine of the United States and received the Merit Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). After a career treating people who have already developed schizophrenia and seeing the damage it causes to their lives and their families, his motivation is to prevent mental disorders from happening to another child.

M. Camille Hoffman MD, MSCS is Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Psychiatry, University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist at the University of Colorado Hospital. She actively cares for pregnant women, delivers their babies, and conducts research to improve clinical practice. Her career is supported by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
Their research on choline in pregnancy was conducted under the regulatory oversight of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Our doctors receive no compensation for their work with pregnant women and their nutrition. Our research is supported by the Institute for Children’s Mental Disorders, The AnschutzFoundation, the Rosemary and Randy Ross Fund, and the National Institutes of Health.
